1. Without film
treatment.
Glass fails and enters the room at high
velocity. |
|
|
2. With window film
Glass fails but the film holds the pane
together. Because of its bulk, the contained pane leaves the
frame but at low velocity and therefore travels only a short
distance. |

3. With frame anchorage
Glass fails but the pane is contained
within the frame with no glass entering the room. |
